Where Babbel is strong
- Separate Mexican and Spain versions of Spanish, as we have.
- Free access to Babbel Speak, its AI conversation partner, for registered users for now, in Spanish, French, German and Italian. Babbel reserves the right to charge for it later.
- Languages we do not teach, including Russian, Turkish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish and Indonesian.
Where Speak to Anyone fits better
- Hindi, Romanian, Tagalog, Cebuano and Hiligaynon, which are not on Babbel's own list of 14 languages.
- Trip planning, a travel map and saved videos in the same app as the lessons.
- No generative AI and no pronunciation score: the speech check says what it heard.
